Thomas James Butt. (TJ)
TJ's roll within the tourism venture is co-ordinating the tours with the Tour Operations Manager, the Tour Manager in Jarlmadangah and also assisting Uncle Harry and the other trainees to have the camels ready for each tour. TJ also assists with planning of each tour and makes sure the rest of the trainees are there and know what is expected of them.
TJ enjoys playing the guitar, listening to music, hunting and fishing.
Angus Butt.
Angus has been part of the team for 3 seasons now and also assists with the camel safaris and other activities within the tourism venture. Angus assisted with the initial setting up of the Mount Anderson camp ground along with TJ, Canny, William and several other young men from the community. Angus has always assisted with the preparation of the meals on the tours and has just recently decided that he would like to become a chef.
Martina Watson (Tina)
Tina manages the office at the community taking calls and tending to the emails etc. Tina also assists with the baking of the dampers and is always willing to do some commentary in the cultural centre or on the tour bus. Tina will also be looking after our blogg and face book sites on the tourism web site.
Canny Watson.
Canny also assists his Dad, Harry with the camels and all aspects of the tours carried out at Mount Anderson. Canny, like his father is at home with animals and all creatures alike. He will often capture a snake or goanna whilst on the camel safari and hides it in his shirt until he gets back to the camp only to scare the witts out of our guests! He is fun loving and great to be around and likes practical jokes.
John Watson (Elder)
Jarlmadangah Community was first formed in 1987. John and Harry Watson are two elders who were instrumental in the formation of the community in order to maintain traditional language, law and culture, and to pass these aspects on to younger generations.
John & Harry’s commitment to cultural values, an alcohol and drug free policy and inspired leadership have made Jarlmadangah Burru Aboriginal Community a successful 'building project' with an eye on the future as well as the past.
